Alex, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today. We’d love to hear about a time you helped a customer really get an amazing result through their work with you.

As the proud owner of Oh Doggonit! I’ve had the privilege of creating countless positive experiences for our clients. One particular customer success story stands out, showcasing our commitment to going above and beyond in times of need.

It was Memorial Day weekend, and the clock had just struck 10:00 pm on a Friday night when I received a desperate call from a woman in Florida. She and her family were on vacation, and to their dismay, their pet sitter had unexpectedly bailed on them, leaving their ten beloved dogs without care. Panic and frustration filled her voice as she explained the dire situation.

Although I was already double-booked for the weekend, I couldn’t turn away from the plea for help. Instinctively, I reassured her that we would find a solution to ensure her dogs were cared for. While staying overnight wasn’t possible due to prior commitments, I offered to drop in multiple times a day for feedings and walks, determined to make a challenging situation more manageable.

Under normal circumstances, we diligently conduct meet-and-greets to establish a connection with both pets and owners. However, this was no ordinary situation. In the spirit of genuine care and compassion, I bent our usual protocol to accommodate their emergency.

Throughout the weekend, I provided the care and attention their dogs needed, going the extra mile to maintain their well-being. Despite the unexpected turn of events, the family was immensely grateful for the support. Knowing that their pets were in good hands allowed them to salvage the remainder of their vacation, and they could enjoy their time in Florida with peace of mind.

The impact of this experience extended beyond the immediate situation. The family, appreciative of our responsiveness and dedication, not only shared their gratitude but also continued to recommend our services to friends, family, and fellow pet owners. This customer success story exemplifies our unwavering commitment to our clients, demonstrating that even in emergencies, we are dedicated to providing reliable and caring solutions for their beloved furry family members.


Where do you think you get most of your clients from?

The most invaluable source of new clients for Oh Doggonit! has undeniably been the power of word of mouth and the community engagement we’ve fostered through Facebook. Establishing genuine connections with our clients has been at the core of our approach. Many of them have become more than just clients; they’ve become an extension of our family. It’s not just about providing excellent pet care services but also about taking a personal interest in their lives.

Following our clients’ updates and occasionally running into them at places like the grocery store has allowed us to forge deeper connections. These personal interactions go beyond the professional realm and create a sense of community. The beauty of word of mouth is exemplified when our clients take to specifically Facebook to share their positive experiences. Witnessing our business page being tagged multiple times daily is a heartening sight. The recommendations from our clients on their own timelines, as well as in various community Facebook groups, have been instrumental in introducing our services to a wider audience. We’re immensely grateful for the trust and support our clients extend, becoming the true ambassadors of our business.

The organic growth fueled by these personal connections and positive online recommendations is a testament to the strength of community-driven marketing. We cherish the relationships we’ve built and appreciate the role our clients play in helping us connect with new pet owners who are seeking trustworthy and caring pet sitting services.


We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.

In 2020, amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, my remote work setup opened unexpected doors that led to the creation of Oh Doggonit! It really all began when my aunt Denise started recommending me to her gym friends who were in need of pet care during their vacations. Embracing this opportunity, I later ventured into the pet-sitting realm through the Wag! app, an on-demand pet care service. After six months of gaining experience and building a client base, I felt confident enough to launch my own pet sitting business.

In March 2023, I officially launched Oh Doggonit! and witnessed remarkable growth. There was such a demand I ended up reccruiting all my friends who also work remote to assemble team of seven pet sitters. Our collective efforts were recognized in July when the community voted us the “2023 Neighborhood Faves” on the Nextdoor app for Pet Services. Further, in November, we proudly received the “2023 Spring Hill Main Street Awards” for Best Pet Specialty Services from Main Street Media.

These accolades, along with completing over 200 bookings just this year, along with over 50 five star reviews on FaceBook has showcase the remarkable growth and reputation that Oh Doggonit! has achieved. While it’s not yet a full-time job, the journey has been incredibly rewarding, and I look forward to the possibility of it becoming a thriving career one day. I owe much of this success to my exceptional team, whose dedication and passion for pet care continue to drive Oh Doggonit! toward new heights.
